    1. Ah, too kind ! If I could remember one single variety it would help ! can't name one of them and have to refer to them as "the stripey one " or "the orangey one "!

  2. Your lilies are stunning! I have the same problem. I can't remember variety names and I always lose the labels...Happy gardening!

    1. Thanks for your comments ! My worse failing was writing names on labels with a pen that faded to invisibility very quickly ! So frustrating!

  3. Thanks Scotkat ! They don't look like they are tough as old boots ! Far too exotic!

  5. Goregeous colours, they are on the list for when I get the beds around the patio sorted. But that depends on us getting the patio sorted. Which we are quite confused about. Ah well, in the mean time I will enjoy yours!

  6. Sorting patios sounds like hard, expensive work, not like planting day lilies ! They have fantastic architectural foliage when not in flower, which is equivalent to lots of plants chosen for foliage alone, like Phormiums. We have a lot in pots too, and they seem to thrive !

  7. Much like you, I have a tendency to focus on the stamen, stigma and anthers when I photograph flowers. Such bright and gay Day Lilies.

  8. Ha! I think they are the most photogenic bit! They are very sunny flowers with a feel good factor !

I really welcome comments and have learned much from them, over the years of leaning over the virtual garden gate ...
